Clinically Validated
A five-month, double-blind, intra-individual randomized controlled trial was conducted at the National Skin Centre (NSC), Singapore. Sixty adult participants (≥21 years), both with and without diabetes mellitus, were enrolled. The study compared a polyionene-based antimicrobial moisturizer with a standard vehicle moisturizer, assessing emollient efficacy, safety, and its ability to reduce microbial load.
Our findings suggest that the novel polyionene-containing antimicrobial moisturizer demonstrated an emollient and safety profile comparable to the vehicle moisturizer, while achieving a greater reduction in microbial load.
